Sushi restaurants need sustainability on menu

France may back ban on bluefin

 A crucial vote on whether Europe will back a trade ban on the critically-endangered bluefin tuna has been postponed because EU officials can’t agree.
Stavros Dimas, the Environment Commissioner, wants Europe to back the listing of the bluefin under Appendix 1 of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species, which would mean international trade is banned.

Sustainable seafood pledge for London 2012

EU to decide whether to ban bluefin tuna trade

The European Commission is to decide whether to back an international ban on trade in bluefin tuna next week.
